My Pregnancy Favorites: Round Two

I am so excited that we are expecting our second child! Just like any pregnancy, this one has been so different then my first. I have been so sick this time around. I have had to go to the ER twice. Even as I have entered the second trimester, the time when I thought my sickness would go a way; I have in fact gotten sick several times this week. It has been less than ideal at times. However, that doesn’t take away from the excitement and the pure joy I have thinking about welcoming another child into our home! With this being my second, I decided to put together a list of my current favorites for this round.

Cravings

I know that I just wrote an entire paragraph on how different this pregnancy was from my first. However, the cravings this time around have not been much different than my first. My days have been spent eating fruits, sour candy and I have suddenly become a Grillo’s pickle connoisseur. Mexican food is also on my agenda and I try to convince my husband to get it any chance I can. Being a morning person, breakfast is of upmost priority in the morning. The one breakfast I can’t quit is an English muffin with a scrambled egg on top, cheese and salsa. I tried re-fried beans and avocado as well. I didn’t hate it!

Supplements

One of the most important parts of being pregnant is finding the supplements to fuel you and give you and your baby the right nutrition. This time I have been taking Ritual prenatal. Ritual is a certified B-Corp and has clean ingredients. I love taking them because they have a citrus-y taste and are pretty easy to take! Even in the first trimester.

Another item I can’t stop using is Nemah revitalizing stretch mark cream. This cream is the only lotion that I have used for stretch marks that isn’t stick or greasy. While I still have stretch marks from my previous pregnancy; I am hoping that this will at least keep me moisturized when I really need it!

During my first trimester, I was sick a lot! The one thing I kept reaching for was ginger candy. I have tried hard candies, chewy, plain ginger and flavored ginger. The best one that I found was Gem Gem Ginger Candy: Zesty Lemon flavor! This was the one thing that kept my morning sickness at bay! I found mine at TJ maxx at a discount. But you can also find them on Amazon here.

I hope that this list has been helpful to you! I am excited to add more as I continue this pregnancy journey.

xoxo
